Dr Gail Tsang

Dr Gail Tsang is a Radiation Oncologist, a fellow of the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Radiologist. Dr Tsang has special clinical interests in prostate brachytherapy, stereotactic body and cranial radiotherapy, urological and haematological malignancies, breast, lung, gastrointestinal and skin cancers.

Dr Tsang had completed a clinical fellowship in prostate brachytherapy at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto, Canada in 2009. She is accredited for high dose rate and low dose rate prostate brachytherapy at the Brisbane practice.

Dr Tsang is interested in oncology research. She had been awarded the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation research grant.

Dr Felicity Jensen

MBBS MHM CHIA AMA(M) FRSTMH FRSM ACHSM FRACMA

Dr Felicity Jensen is currently the Senior Medical Advisor for the Chief Medical Officer and Healthcare Regulation Branch, Queensland Health (part-time) and Assistant to the Chief Health Officer, delegate for exemptions (part-time).

Dr Jensen has specialist qualifications as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (RACMA). Dr Jensen is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (UK) and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine (UK). She is an Associate Fellow of the Australasian College of Health Service Management.

Dr Jensen holds a Master of Health Management and is a Certified Health Informatician of Australasia.

She is the Deputy Jurisdictional Coordinator of Training for the joint Queensland and Northern Territory jurisdiction for the RACMA College.

Dr Manoj Bhatt

GAICD, CHIA, FRACP

Manoj is a Nuclear Medicine and PET physician working at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH) and St Vincent’s Northside.
He believes in ‘Kaizen’ which means ‘continuous improvement. He recently acquired Graduate of Australian Institute of Company directors (GAICD) and is currently pursuing MBA from QUT.
Manoj has completed CHIA (Certified Health Informatician Australia) and has worked in digital health space in Metro North.
He is a board member at QUT.
Manoj’s professional training started in India which includes MBBS and MD (internal medicine). He worked in UK before coming to Australia.
He completed his Fellowship training in Brisbane and Melbourne in 2012. He provides locum services to regional centres like Rockhampton and Ballarat.
His mantra is, ‘In a world where you can be anything, be kind’.

Dr Dilip Dhupelia

Dr Dilip Dhupelia

Dr Dilip Dhupelia works as the Director of Medical and Clinical Services at Queensland Rural Medical Service within Queensland Health. He is also a part time General Practitioner at Toowong.

Dilip is a Fellow of the AICD.  His current Board positions are Chair of the AMA Queensland and Director of Brisbane South PHN.

Dilip is a Past President of AMA Queensland. He currently remains as a Member of the AMAQ Council of General Practice.

Dilip has been on the Management Committee of BLMA from 2020 and is currently the editor of “Synapse”, the newsletter of BLMA.

Dr Andrew Cronin

Dr Andrew Cronin served with the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) for nine years as an aeronautical engineer. He then was accepted to the University of Queensland Medical School and graduated in 2007. For most of Dr Cronin‘s medical career, he has been training and working in regional, rural and remote medicine.

Dr Cronin currently holds a part-time position with the Royal Flying Doctor Service – Queensland Section, providing primary health care and aeromedical retrieval services to the population of South-West Queensland. Dr Cronin has a special interest in Aviation Medicine, providing aviation medical assessments for the Civil Aviation Safety Authority and the Federal Aviation Administration.

Dr Cronin also maintains casual positions within Queensland Health.

Dr Jennifer Schafer

Jennifer Schafer is a graduate of UQ School of Medicine. As an avid and lifelong multi-tasker, she has combined her primary vocation as a General Practitioner with experience in medical education (UQ School/Faculty of Medicine), clinical research (Wesley Medical Research), medical reporting (Channel 9) and as a director on not-for-profit healthcare boards.

Her qualifications include FRACGP, Diploma RANZCOG, Graduate Certificate in Executive Leadership (UQ Business School), Executive Graduate Certificate in Business (LCAM) (QUT Business School), and Graduate, Australian Institute of Company Directors and Australasian Institute of Clinical Governance.

Currently, she continues her clinical work in parallel with her roles as Medical Director, Doctors’ Health in Qld; Deputy Chair, BNPHN; Director, Arthritis Qld; Patron UQMS;  President, Queensland Medical Women’s Society and is the QMWS representative on The Australian Federation of Medical Women.

Dr Janet Draper

BMedSc MBBS FRANZCOG

Janet is a born and bred Brisbanite who graduated from UQ with her MBBS in 1993, after taking an extra year to complete her Bachelor of Medical Science research degree in 1991.

She worked all over Queensland on her way to completing her FRANZCOG in 2006 and has worked as a Staff Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Logan Hospital since 2007. She was Deputy Director of O&G in 2013-2014 and was Acting Director of O&G in 2019-2020. She celebrated 30 years of service for Queensland Health as well as her 30 year AMAQ Membership milestone in 2024.

Janet is passionate about teaching, training and support of students and doctors. She has been a RANZCOG and DRANZCOG Advanced Training Supervisor for the majority of her time as a specialist and was appointed the Logan Hospital Training Co-ordinator/Training and Accreditation Committee Representative in March 2022. As part of this role, Janet is a RANZCOG Queensland Interview Panelist. Janet became a RANZCOG Accreditation Lead Fellow in October 2023 and was accepted onto the RANZCOG Board of Examiners in July 2024.

Janet joined the BLMA Committee at the 2022 AGM as the South Brisbane Representative and has found her niche as our social media coordinator.
