We were very excited to host our October Educational Evening at Waters Edge Weddings & Events at Portside. This event was kindly sponsored by Radiology Queensland Group and we also had speakers from our key partner Mater and long term partners q4financial.

Our Topics and Speakers were:
1) “The Shoulder Uncovered: Diagnostic Imaging and Image-Guided Intervention” – Dr Hien Lu, Radiology Queensland Group

2) Q&A with Kelly and Rod – q4financial.

3) “Radiological Approaches to Back Pain – I’ve got your back” – Dr Ryan Braun, Carlisle Health / Radiology Queensland Group

4) “Lasers, Robots, Gamma Rays and Sore Backs” – Dr Joseph Garcia Redmond – Specialist Neurosurgeon, Mater Health

Radiology Queensland Group and the BLMA Committee collaborated to employ a professional photographer for the occasion (much to admin’s relief!) and we were very happy with the results. Unfortunately we had to reduce the quality of the images to get them to meet our website specifications, but all the photos in their original quality are available to view on Facebook, filed under the album for this event.

Sadly this meeting was the last for one of our original committee members and long term MC, Dr Jennifer Schafer, who is moving to FNQ. BLMA Vice-President Dr Andrew Cronin gave a moving tribute to Jen at the end of the evening in gratitude for her long term contributions to the BLMA Committee. We will miss her tremendously.
