BLMA Members November 2024 Educational Evening and End of Year Celebration
On Friday 29 November, we held our final Educational Evening for 2024, kindly sponsored (for the 3rd year in a row!) by City Fertility. This was the first time we have held a BLMA Event at Factory 51 and we were delighted with their function room.
The City Fertility Q&A panel discussion with Drs Neil Astill and Jim Heymann and Senior Embryologist Jess Morris started off proceedings and was well received by our sold out crowd.
We then had an extremely informative presentation about body contouring in the weight loss patient from our Mater speaker, Dr Raymond Goh, Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon.
We were very privileged to have Dr Nick Yim, AMA Queensland president, who came down from Hervey Bay to attend our event and speak to us about current advocacy priorities. We are proud that many AMAQ past presidents are members of the BLMA, with Drs Maria Boulton, Dilip Dhupelia and Bob Brown in attendance at our function on Friday evening.
We concluded proceedings with our anticipated end of year raffle and lucky door prizes, with generous donations from our BLMA president Dr Hasthika Ellepola, City Fertility, Mary Garner – mips (with one of MIPS’ prizes so heavy that Dr Cyril Fernandez nearly dropped it
) and our long term partner q4 financial. Congratulations
