BLMA Members July 2024 Educational Evening
On Wednesday 31 July 2024, we held our July BLMA Members Educational Evening. The Garden Marquee was a lovely change from our usual smaller function rooms at Victoria Park, and we are very grateful to our sponsors AstraZeneca for financing a larger event for our growing association 
Committee member Dr Jennifer Schafer was her usual spectacular self as our MC for the evening. Our treasurer, Dr Manoj Bhatt, opened proceedings to apologetically announce that with rising costs, we have been forced to increase our membership prices for the first time since the BLMA’s inception. These increased fees will apply from 15 August 2024.
We were then treated to two very informative presentations from Dr Alistair Cook and Dr Adrian Barnett for our planned respiratory theme of education for the evening. As always with such quality talks, there was a robust Q&A session.
Kelly Hill from our long-term partners q4financial gave us some advice on retirement planning. We would also like to acknowledge our platinum sponsors Mater for their ongoing support of the BLMA 
We finished out the evening’s presentations by hearing from Dr Dilip Dhupelia and AMAQ Events Planner Hayley Constable about the upcoming AMAQ Foundation Charity Gala on 17 August.
As always, we enjoyed a very collegial evening with an excellent menu provided by this fabulous function centre.
