We held our BLMA Doctor-in-Training September Educational Evening on “Futures in Focus” – an inspiring evening of leadership and learning, proudly sponsored by the Mater, at The Glen Hotel on 10 September 2025

Our DiT Committee Member Holly Dignan did a fantastic job in her inaugural performance as MC.

The program entailed:
1) “Future in Focus: A panel discussion on Leadership in Medicine” featuring Dr Emily Moody, Dr Chris Zappala and Dr Dinesh Palipana.

2) “Navigating Healthcare My Way” – Dr Maureen Dingwall, Director of Clinical Training, Mater Health.

3) Presentation by Kelly Hill from q4financial.

Our attendees were treated to scrumptious wood-fired pizzas whilst gaining some very valuable advice from our panel speakers.

We especially enjoyed having our youngest BLMA member and ‘assistant editor’ of Synapse in attendance at his first BLMA meeting with his beautiful Mum Herjot, DiT Committee member and Synapse Editor.
